Sputter (PLUGS IN THE) Box

Sputter (PLUGS IN THE) Box is Sputter Box’s debut concert with electronics and video projections featuring four commissions by composers Kennedy Taylor Dixon, DM R, Nolan Hildebrand, and Tania Cortés Becerra. Using clarinet, bass clarinet, voice, percussion, electronics, and video art, each composer is writing about a topic they relate to, including Colombian popular music, noise music, the dangers of grind culture, and the mysterious death of migratory birds, known as cuvivíes, in the lagoons of Ozogoche, Ecuador. The electronics components will include recorded tracks and live electronics.

This program is best for venues with audio and video tech capabilities and live sound engineering staff members.
